So I haven't been as bloggerish as I thought I would be... who am I kidding I knew this would happen. None the less things have been going great here in Costa Rica. We have now been here for a little over 2 weeks! San Jose is where we live but the weekends are what we live for! Last weekend we visited Arenal in La Fortuna. There is an "active" volcano there that was covered with clouds for the majority of our stay. We did get the chance to go repelling down waterfalls though! That was pretty awesome!
Then in was back to San Jose for the week...
This weekend we finally got some fun in the sun at Tamarindo Beach! The view was gorgeous and there was so much to check out and do! Friday night we went to a club and got entertained with live music and a flame throwing show. We woke up Saturday morning and hit the beach till about noon. Then it was time for the catamaran! There is not many things in this world better than an open bar on the open ocean. Then to top it off with some awesome snorkeling, it was paradise! Sunday morning we woke early hit the beach again and I got a massage on the freakin beach! Oh and we also discovered the most amazing burger ever! Peanut butter bacon cheese burger! I thought it sounded disgusting but it was amazing!
Josh and his school friends left at around 12:00 and I had 2 hours to kill till my bus came to pick me up. I walked around town and kept thinking "I wish we didn't have to leave." Come to find out my reservation had been overlooked and they wouldn't be able to come and get me till Monday at 2. So there I was solo in Tamarindo for 24 hrs! I definitely can't say it's the worst place I've ever been stranded. I was kind of freaked out but made the best of the situation. I took some surf lessons and watched the first half of the Spurs game at a bar near the hotel. Of course I am a young female who isn't fluent in spanish quite yet so I decided sticking to the hotel would be safer. I will say I felt pretty sad when the Spurs won the championship. Don't get me wrong I am the biggest Spurs fan I know, but it's hard to celebrate in your hotel room by yourself. In the morning I laid out by the pool and around 2:00 my bus actually came this time! We've only been here a few weeks but I felt so relieved to be "home" this evening!
Till the next time!

Isn't it fun to discover a food that sounds so gross but you have the guts to try it and find out it is surprisingly good? What is the unique cola of Costa Rica? Texas has Dr. Pepper, Brasil has Guarana, what does Costa Rica have?
